Hicks on Sticks is an award winning documentary about a life changing skateboard trip in 1992 led by Kebbek Skateboards’s founder, Ian Comishin.

Hicks on Sticks tells the story of a group of skateboarders and musicians on a late ’90s tour of Western Canada with the mission of bringing skate culture to kids with nothing else to do in small towns.

This tour has gone down in the history books to influence skateboarding in so many ways. Brush up on your skateboard history and tune in now for a re-release, live for only the next 72hours.

Thanks to Kebbek Skateboards, Ian Comishin and Joey Bidner for making this re-release available.

Les Robertson

Born in Vancouver, Les has been backpacking and adventuring around the globe most of his life. Skateboarding made it easier to get around, eventually leading to a long trek skate adventure across Kenya. With a new appreciation for skateboards and some good connections, Les dropped everything to make skateboarding his life and, as they say, it's all been downhill since. Now Editor at Skate[Slate] and one of the owners of Flatspot Longboards, Les spends the rest of his time raising his first kid, plugged into the skate-web, and skating with Coast Longboarding.
